I feel for you man, its like a Dear John letter from your newsgroup. You've
been dumped - do what all good men do, get pissed for 6 months non-stop and
use a few other newsgroups occasionally for one nighters and shallow
postings. When you feel the need to settle down again look for a steady
newsgroup that will reward you and give you the security that has been
missing - I can recommend RSS. When I was looking for a footy newsgroup
myself I came across RSS and UKSF. It was like coming across two sisters on
a night out, RSS was the fat , vaguely ugly, one - but I kind of knew that
she would reward me with the intellectual conversation and emotional
stability I so craved. UKSF on the other hand was the vacuous slut propping
up the bar, Marlboro light and melon bacardi breezer in hand - little depth
here I thought but boy what a ride. Needless to say here I am and I haven't
been disappointed - sure there will be a time when this slut of a newsgroup
will Dear John me too but I can always retire to the warm cosy bosom of RSS
or Alt.pets.cats. when that day comes. Stay strong brother - you'll get
there too in the end.
